If you’ve got a modern Wi-Fi enabled laptop or smartphone, you probably know how to go about setting up your Wi-Fi network using the login admin ip. That said, you may find that setting up your wireless network is actually quite difficult. After all, what if you want to access your Wi-Fi routers settings? Thankfully, in today’s technological world, you don’t need any complicated hacking skills to configure your Wi-Fi network settings. Here’s what you need to do.
The first step involves turning your computer off. Normally, this step would automatically be performed whenever you turned on your computer. However, if your computer is already off, you have to press and hold Control, the plus sign, the Tab keys, and the R keys at the same time. This will bring up your Control Panel window. You can choose the familiar File menu, and then click on the “Network” tab.
Once you’re in the Networking area of your Control Panel window, you should see three items: SSID, Subscriber Identity Module, and the computer’s name. The SSID is the computer’s name you see in the browser, while the Subscriber Identity Module is the one displayed on your computer. These are the typical configuration keys that you need to enter. The Ssid is the security key. Without it, your Internet service will not be able to function.
Next, you need to enter your WPA security key, which is a long string of numbers and letters. This is what allows you to secure your Wi-Fi connection. After you’ve done that, click the “OK” button to return to the main screen. You should now see your basic Wi-Fi network settings, as well as an option to change your password. Change your password to something different from your current one, and then save the changes.
Your next step should be to find your Wi-Fi router. It should be located near your computer by using the arrow keys or the mouse. It should also be labeled with SSID. Look for the port labeled with Access, then click the button for Allow access. If you’re getting prompted to scan for viruses, you’ll need to click the option for Allowed programs.
When the scan is finished, you’ll have to enter the password. You’ll need a standard password for your Wi-Fi router, one you type into the box above. Once you’ve done that, you can proceed to logging into your computer. When you’re in the control panel, your primary password should already be present. If it isn’t, you’ll need to enter a new one.
Finally, you can log into your computer through another way, called SSID logging. This process is the same as when you were able to access your Wi-Fi router’s access point. You’ll still be able to move through the control panel and change settings, but you won’t be able to actually connect to your network until you are on a secure Wi-Fi network.
Once you are in a secure area, you can then proceed to accessing your Wi-Fi computer. Use the arrow keys to move up and down, and use the mouse to scroll up and down. The Windows logo should turn blue when it’s time to connect. It may take a bit of time, depending on how fast your computer. In the meantime, you can keep checking back on the status of your access point in the Internet browser.
At this point, you should know that all your settings, options, and security options are complete. You can even install any of the software programs that you have installed. After everything is finished, reboot your computer.
When you see an icon on your desktop indicating that your computer is ready to go wireless, click the button. A message will pop up asking you to connect your laptop or other device to the router’s WEP. Follow the onscreen prompts carefully to complete the process.
Your router’s WEP will allow you to access your Wi-Fi network without having to provide personal information. You’ll still need a computer that has access to the Internet for a few different reasons, so the process of connecting your computer to your modem and turning the WEP on should not be difficult. Once the process is complete, you’ll be able to log into your computer from anywhere with an Internet connection. The process is very simple and straightforward, and it only takes a few minutes to get set up.
